  • 12 February to 6 March 2010 - New Zealand Fringe Festival - Over 100 events in various venues in Wellington  (see Wellington).
     
  • 19 February to 14 March 2010 - Festival of Flowers - A celebration of gardens, plants and everything floral. Including; displays, music, food, storytelling, garden tours, photography, calligraphy, Ikebana, flax weaving, the New Zealand tree-climbing competition, and more in the town of Christchurch (see Christchurch).
     
  • 26 February to 21 March 2010 - New Zealand International Arts Festival - A biennial festival featuring theatre, classical and world music, opera, dance, jazz, a literary programme, seminars, exhibitions, education activities, and more in the capital of Wellington (see Wellington).
     
  • 5 & 6 March 2010 - The Annual Southland A & P Show - Held at the Ascot Park Racecourse, Invercargill. (see accommodation in Invercargill)
     
  • 6, 10 & 13 March 2010 - Auckland Cup Week - A showcase of New Zealand's finest in thoroughbred racing (see Auckland).
     
  • 10 & 11 March 2010 - Sounds Aotearoa - New Zealand music expo in New Plymouth.
     
  • 10 to 14 March 2010 - Ellerslie Flowershow - A home and lifestyle expo that attracts New Zealand and international visitors to Hagley Park (see Christchurch).
     
  • 11 to 14 March 2010 - Auckland International Boat Show - Held every year in early March the show takes advantage of Auckland's warm coastal climate (see Auckland).
     
  • 12 to 14 March 2010 - WOMAD - The annual World of Music Arts and Dance aims to bring together artists from all over the world. Held in the Brooklands Park & TSB Bowl in New Plymouth, Taranaki.
     
  • 13 March (Saturday) 2010 - Pasifika Festival - Celebrate the cultures and identities of the Pacific nations and New Zealand at one of the largest, all ages, free community events in the South Pacific. Featuring performers from Samoa, Tonga, Cook Islands, Fiji, Niue, Tahiti, Tokelau, Tuvalu, Kiribati and the Tangata Whenua (New Zealand Maori). (see Auckland).
     
  • 13 & 14 March 2010 - Boys Day Out North Island - With live music, jet ski and BMX bike demonstrations, a beer garden, an extreme rally race, a pamper lounge for ladies,  and more at Mystery Creek.
     
  • 13 & 14 March 2010 - Mind Body Spirit Festival - Over fifty free workshops, all day entertainment and healthy food at Addington Raceway and Events Centre Christchurch (see Christchurch).
     
  • 13 & 14 March 2010 - Kumeu Show - Entry is $10 for adults, $5 for children aged 5 to 13, and free for children under five. 8.30 am to 5.00 pm daily at the Kumeu Showgrounds.
     
  • 13 to 28 March 2010 - DOCNZ - Documentary Film Festival - The second and final screening of Australasia’s only international competitive documentary film festival (see Wellington).
     
  • 18 to 28 March 2010 - Dunedin Fringe Festival - The festival was first held in 2000 to bring innovative contemporary art produced by Dunedin artists to a wider audience. Events held in various venues in Dunedin (see Dunedin).
     
  • 25 March to 14 April 2010 - World Cinema Showcase: Academy Cinemas Auckland - Academy Cinemas in Auckland host the World Cinema Showcase (see Auckland).
     
  • 26 to 28 March 2010 - The Food Show - Christchurch - An annual showcase of gourmet food from top local and international chefs. Westpac Arena, Christchurch.
     
  • 27 March (Saturday) 2010 - The Dual - Including a trail marathon and half marathon and 50km and 30km mountain bike rides and more at Home Bay, Motutapu Island. All proceeds will go to the planting campaign undertaken by The Motutapu Restoration Trust.
