  • 2 to 6 July 2010 - Wanaka Mountain Film Festival - Includes workshops, an art exhibition, international guest speakers, live music, an awards night and more.
     
  • 3 & 4, 18 July 2010 - Tough Guy and Gal Challenge - An off-road running event open to both male and female competitors 13 years and older. The course includes swamp crossings, a rope climb, crawl under barb wire, native bush trails and natural and man-made obstacles

  • 16 to 18 July 2010 - Bluewater Hotel Deco Decanted Jazz Festival - A weekend full of events to celebrate the art deco style in Napier. Includes fashion, guided walks, dances, fabulous food, entertainment, vintage cars, movies and even something for the kids.
     
  • 17 July (Saturday) 2010 - Tour: Jill Robinson, Animals Asia founder and CEO, who has been championing the cause of animals in China for more than 25 years, will be sharing the latest news first-hand on animal welfare in China, including positive developments on government relations, the explosion of media coverage on sensitive issues, support from the traditional medicine community to heal without harm and the growing trend of brave activists fighting for the rights of animals amid communist rule. Jill will also be updating supporters on her campaign to end the practice of bear bile farming, including the foundation’s recent rescue of 10 bears from a farm in northern China and the four-day road-trip to bring them home.   • 29 July to 1 August 2010 - The Food Show - Auckland - An annual showcase of gourmet food from top local and international chefs. ASB Showgrounds (see Auckland).
     
  • 29 July to 1 August 2010 - The New Zealand Art Show - Popular with artists and art buyers alike and encourages New Zealanders to celebrate their identity and culture by buying local art. TSB Bank Arena, Wellington.
     
  • 30 & 31 July 2010 - The Hokonui Fashion Design Awards - Annual awards for amateur fashion designers in New Zealand. Gore Town & Country Stadium, Gore, Southland.
