  • Jazz at the Rotunda stages some of Auckland's finest jazz musicians
  •  Movies in Parks screens a host of classic kiwi flicks with bands before sunset.
     
• 4 to 9 January - The ASB Classic - (Auckland) Women's International Tennis.
   
• 11 to 16 January 2010 - Heineken Open Tennis Championships - (Auckland)
   
• 21 to 31 January 2010 - World Buskers Festival - (Christchurch) Includes 44 of the world's best busking acts from the USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, Japan, Israel, Germany, the Netherlands, Australia and New Zealand.
   
• 26 January 2010 (Tuesday ) - International Customs Day Wellington includes interesting, lively, and educational activities for the whole family
   
• 29 January to 1 February  2010 - Auckland Anniversary Weekend Celebrations includes
  • Auckland International Buskers Festival
  • Auckland Seafood Festival Auckland's only seafood festival.
  • Auckland Anniversary Day Regatta (Monday, 1 February) celebrates Auckland's maritime history and heritage on land and sea with a fleet of sail boats, classic yachts, vintage tugboats and tall ships
  • Auckland Laneway Festival  
  • International Customs Day Auckland (30 January)
     
• 31 December to 22 March 2010 - Summer City Festival - (Wellington) Wellington's summer festival of outdoor fun and entertainment.
